Gus Yaki has been raising funds for and awareness of habitat conservation and biodiversity for more than 50 years, inspiring generations of Canadians to learn about natural history. For more than 25 years, he has led the monthly Elbow River Birding Survey with Nature Calgary, and coordinates birdwatching courses with the Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society.
