Message from the Governor General of Canada on the Birth of
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Baby Daughter

OTTAWA— Sharon and I are delighted to congratulate Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their second child.

The birth of a child is a joyous occasion, and it is even more joyous when shared with family and friends. In this case, Her Royal Highness The Princess of Cambridge will find an outpouring of affection from all Canadians and from people across the Commonwealth.

We would also like to extend our best wishes to big brother, Prince George, and to the entire Royal Family. On behalf of all Canadians, congratulations!
