Message from Her Majesty The Queen
on the Passing of the Honourable Pierre Claude Nolin

OTTAWA—The Governor General of Canada wishes to share a message addressed to all Canadians from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on the passing of the Honourable Pierre Claude Nolin, Speaker of the Senate.

“It was with great sadness that Prince Philip and I learned of the sudden passing of the Speaker of the Senate, the Honourable Pierre Claude Nolin. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nolin family as well as all Canadian parliamentarians who benefited from his ever wise counsel.”
