Governor General to attend funeral service for His Holiness Pope Francis

OTTAWA—At the request of the Right Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Whit Fraser will attend the funeral of His Holiness Pope Francis. The funeral will take place at St. Peter’s Square, in Vatican City, on April 26, 2025.

Time: 10 a.m. (Central European Summer Time)
Location: St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City, Italy
